My new gear

Santa came early this year and got me new camera gear (can you say hello to my new 50d). I got to test it out this weekend on my darling hubby and our dear clients, Thuy and Daryle.

Site Visits

We're getting a lot of requests for park sessions lately, and it's always good to try out new parks, so we did some site visits last weekend.

Half Moon Bay

Rabies Smabies

One of my assignments as photo assistant is to make a mad dash to the car for equipment. Let's just say, I should've read this little poster BEFORE I ran off to the car in the pitch dark:



I don't care for racoons and they sure don't care for me. So, imagine my surprise when I found a holy-huge one standing right beside my SUV. Two waiters had to rescue me off the top of a nearby pickup truck.

Thanks Alfred. You didn't even use that tripod you made me risk my life for!

Family Time

Juggling two full time jobs and a business, while preserving time for family and providing high-quality service to our clients, can present somewhat of a challenge. One of the ways we squeeze in vital family time is by turning our site visits into family outings. We love to use Ella for test shots. Here she is testing our shots at De Young and at Marin Headlands. She's become quite the model.
